Bezalel Fine Arts graduates, working painters and artists, living and creating in Jerusalem.
When we finished our studies, we knew we wanted to keep creating and painting. At the same time, we wanted to meet people — not stay inside the studio bubble.
In our vision, the studio is a place people walk into and meet a living studio — one where you can see behind the scenes: paintings on the walls, works in progress, paint on the floor, experiments, mistakes and successes. Inside this space, visitors go through an artistic process of their own, and the encounter enriches both sides, keeping art alive, open and connected.
Out of this idea we founded On the Roof Studio — a space for learning and artistic experience, offering workshops, courses and art events at a high level. It matters to us that every participant can take part and create meaningful work, with no prior experience at all.
We believe art belongs to everyone — it's a basic human language we all knew as children, and sometimes all it takes is a chance to meet it again. We'd love to meet you at the studio and create together.

Discover linocut – a traditional printmaking technique combining craft, precision and creativity. We'll explore its origins, carve a linoleum block, roll ink and print by hand on a professional press. – Each participant creates a series of original prints and leaves with works they designed, carved and printed themselves.

Meet stop-motion animation – from its beginnings to contemporary uses in film and art. We'll dive into the creative process, build characters and scenes from various materials, alongside professional filming aids. – During the workshop we'll shoot a frame sequence to create an original stop-motion film. Everyone leaves with a short film of their own making.

An encounter with Surrealism – we'll learn how familiar images can be disrupted, taken apart and rebuilt into a surprising visual language, in an intuitive process working with magazines, papers and found materials. – Each participant leaves with a framed surrealist collage of their own.

Explore gel-plate printing – a contemporary monotype technique of creative freedom, experiment and discovery. We'll dive into one-off printmaking, working in layers, color, texture and image transfer on the gel plate. – Each participant creates a rich, varied series of prints and leaves with a collection of original works.

Discover sun printing – a photographic printing process based on light exposure. We'll open with references from the art world, study composition and image-making, then create personal prints using plants, negatives, lace and more. – Each participant leaves with an original sun print they made themselves.
